Challenge:
The Society's Web presence grew organically over the last decade and currently includes more than 130 individual domains. As a result, it became difficult to maintain consistency and to present a unified message to ASCE's member and non-member audiences.

The organization was challenged to transform a federated Web management strategy (apparent in its silo’d approach to content delivery) to a more comprehensive unified model. Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, an interdisciplinary center for learning and scholarship based at Harvard University, needed a strategic approach for its Web site. For many years, the site was managed in a tactical way and treated as if it was a printed publication with seasonal updates.
